Hello everyone,
This update is concerning our response to the reopening of in-person markets, and how amazing my customers have been.
Many of you may have noticed some market organisers are moving to restart events. Although guidelines will be increased, these markets are so important, and are desperately needed for so many traders. With screens installed and social distancing adhered to, it is a way to get back to earning a living, advertise their businesses and gain the exposure they need.
I feel that for myself. With the size of products I sell and the space and layout of my stand, screening is not practical. My space could be better used (temporarily) for other traders to get out there and sell.
Despite this, I’m still working away in my workshop making my handmade garden furniture, bird tables, planters and commission joinery. This has only been possible thanks to my brilliant customers, and your support and patience.
You have been sharing my joinery work, liking my posts on social media, understanding with supply chain delays or issues that are out of my control and so many of you have asked, “how are you?”. I’m absolutely humbled towards the number of people who genuinely care about small businesses and those that run them. I hope you are all keeping well and good luck to all the small businesses out there who are pushing forward in these uncertain times. I look forward to seeing you at the markets when it is practical! In the meantime please look after yourselves and support as many local businesses as possible.
